Article Guidelines

Article Length:
The article should consist of 4,000–7,000 words.

Article Title:

  • The title should not exceed 20 words and must reflect the content or findings of the article.
  • It should represent or highlight the article’s content, be informative, contain key findings, and reflect novelty aspects.

Authors and Affiliations:

  • Authors must use their full names without including academic titles.
  • Affiliations must include the department, university, city, country, and email address.
  • Affiliation details should remain consistent across all authors in the article.
  • Mark the corresponding author if applicable.

Abstract:

  • If the article is written in English, the abstract can be in English only. If the article is written in Indonesian, the abstract must be in both Indonesian and English.
  • The abstract should explicitly include the background (if applicable), research/article objectives, research/study methods, findings, and conclusions.
  • The abstract is limited to 250 words.
  • Avoid using formulas, pronouns, or citations.
  • Provide explanations for any abbreviations used.

Keywords:

  • Keywords should be specific and represent the article’s content.
  • They can be single words or phrases but must not be overly general.
  • Common abbreviations (relevant to the topic) are allowed.
  • Keywords should reflect the article's essence, with a maximum of six and a minimum of three.

Introduction:

Opening Paragraph:

  • Start with a broad and general statement about the article’s topic.
  • Narrow down the focus by explaining the state of the art and introducing the research gap.
  • Conclude the paragraph with a general problem statement and specific supporting statements.

Middle Paragraphs:

  • Provide a literature review that identifies the contribution pathway.
  • Explain the latest relevant knowledge.
  • Justify the novelty and contribution of the article.

Final Paragraph:

  • Highlight the specific contribution of the article.
  • Explain the structure or organization of the article.

Theoretical Framework:

  • Use relevant and up-to-date references.
  • Cite the most widely accessed sources.
  • Prefer primary references over review papers.
  • Utilize a reference manager such as Mendeley.
  • References should primarily be from the last five years, with at least one from the past year.
  • Include at least 20 references.

Methods:

  • Describe variables, research subjects, instruments, and methods, including statistical analysis techniques (maximum 20% of the total page count).
  • Present all research activities in a way that allows replication or verification.
  • Avoid citing definitions from books in the methods section.

Results and Discussion:

  • Present a summary of results using graphs and numbers.
  • Provide quantitative evidence (statistical tests).
  • Focus on key points that need emphasis.
  • Ensure clarity, confidence, and generality, avoiding double interpretations.
  • Address the research problem and support answers with findings.
  • Compare findings with relevant studies.
  • Acknowledge the study’s limitations.
  • Highlight the significance of the findings and novelty.
  • Suggest directions for further research.

Conclusion:

  • Conclusions should address research objectives/hypotheses.
  • Support conclusions with sufficient research data.
  • Present key results aligned with the objectives.
  • Summarize all findings concisely.
  • Avoid bullet points; conclusions should be in paragraph form.

References:

  • Include at least 20 references.
  • Ensure all references are cited in the article.
  • Use primary sources (80% of references should be from scientific journals).
  • References should primarily be from the last five years.
  • Use APA Style for reference formatting.

Manuscript Submission Process:

For authors who have not registered with LITERAKOM: Jurnal Literasi dan Komunikasi:

  1. Visit the journal’s website at http://literakom.ppj.unp.ac.id.
  2. Click on the "Register" menu.
  3. Complete the registration form.
  4. After completing the form, click "Register."
  5. Record your username and password if needed.
  6. Check your email for a notification containing your registered username and password.
  7. Use the username and password to log in and submit your manuscript.
  8. Upload the manuscript, including the title, authors’ information, correspondence address, and acknowledgments as supplementary files.
  9. Ensure the manuscript follows the provided template; submissions not adhering to the template will not be processed.
  10. Submitting and publishing articles in LITERAKOM is free of charge.
